The Council has developed specialised services for vulnerable people who may need more support at home. We can provide:
- A mobile warden service for vulnerable people.
- A response team of mobile wardens who can respond to emergencies 24 hours a day
- A 24 hour Careline service for people who need it
- A range of Telecare sensors to suit your needs
- An on-site scheme manager in sheltered housing schemes.
Service Standards for Housing and Services for Vulnerable People
Our mobile wardens and sheltered scheme managers can visit between the following times:
Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 5pm
Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
Our mobile wardens will arrive within 20 minutes of receiving a call.
We will answer 98.5% of all calls to Careline within 60 seconds and 99% within 3 minutes.
90% of urgent installations of the Careline service will be completed within 2 days and the remainder within 5 days
90% of non-urgent installations of the Careline service will be completed within 15 working days and the remainder within 20 working days
90% of critical equipment faults (e.g. a faulty alarm unit) will be repaired within 48 hours and the remainder within 96 hours
90% of non-critical equipment faults (e.g. low battery on a pendant) will be repaired within 10 working days and the remainder within 15 working days
We will carry out a six monthly clean and check of equipment
We will carry out a six monthly check of service users details
