All Residents can recycle the following materials at home using the Kerbside Collection Schemes:
In the body of the Blue Bin
Glass Bottles and jars - all colours
Tins, Cans, Aerosols and clean tin foil
All plastics
You can also recycling spent household batteries. Please put them in a clear plastic food bag, seal it and then tie it to the handles of your blue bin.
In the caddy in the blue bin
Newspapers, magazines, glossy magazines and brochures, shredded paper, catalogues, directories (including yellow pages), direct mail, envelopes (please tear out any plastic windows) greeting cards and wrapping paper (please remove any tape, plastic, ribbons etc.) card and cardboard – break it up to get it in or if the boxes are too big place them at the side of the blue bin on collection day.
If you cannot get all your paper and card in the caddy please put it in a box or bag and leave it at the side of your blue bin on collection day.
Your old blue box could be used, any firm cardboard box or just carrier bags. We have some white weighted canvas bags if you would like one of those please contact us.
Please do not mix paper and card in with your other recycling. This will lead to contamination of our loads and may lead to rejection at the sorting facility.
In your green bin
ONLY cut flowers, pot plants and garden waste.
