If you have a historical question about an object or want an identification, we can try and help.
Normally, we would ask you to bring the item into the museum but this isn’t possible at the moment. Simply try to take some good quality photographs of your object and send them to museum.collections@chesterfield.gov.uk . A plain background works best and a ruler in the picture, helps to give a sense of scale. We’ll do our best to answer your enquiry.
Please note the museum can only help with identifications, we do not give valuations of objects.
