Tudor Minstrel Dante Ferrara brings his collection of period instruments to Revolution House.
Dressed in Tudor costume Dante will perform on five instruments, describing each one with details on how they were used, for whom and how they developed and disappeared out of fashion. Visitors will learn about entertainment for the masses and for high society with interesting cross-overs. The instruments he will demonstrate are the lute, cittern, hurdy-gurdy, colascione and English bagpipes.
Performances will take place at 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm and 3.15pm.

Dante has been a professional minstrel since 1984, performing, entertaining and demonstrating music and songs all over the world. He has recorded on TV and radio from the UK to the USA, from Albania to Australia and his performances take him into England’s finest castles and country houses including Hampton Court Palace, Hever Castle, Hardwick Hall and Burghley House.
Entry to the house and garden is free, however donations are welcome to help us deliver more great events.
