Our rules can sometimes be hard to follow, so we do what we can to make things simple.

Benefits section location and opening times

Our office at the Customer Service Centre is open:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8.30am to 5pm
  • Wednesdays: 10am to 5pm
  • Fridays: 8:30am to 4.30pm

You don’t need an appointment to talk to the benefits team.

Mondays and Fridays are busy days, but the team still manage to see all callers within five minutes.

We can all tell you about Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit, please let us know if you want advice about the other benefits.

 

Extra information about the benefits section

We also make mistakes. We understand that you have to live with our mistakes and that is why we try to get things right first time.

Help us to get things right. Tell us what we need to know when it happens. If your circumstances change regularly keep us up to date with the changes.

We are constantly aiming to improve our performance to ensure you receive the best possible service.

The forms and letters you send to us are put onto the computer screens so that we can quickly see your records whenever you contact us.
