Candidates must possess the necessary right to work authorisation to enable them to work for Chesterfield Borough Council. Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this juncture.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement manager looking to bring procurement innovation to Chesterfield Borough Council.
Working as part of a procurement team, you’ll be an exceptional people manager able to motivate, influence, and drive procurement improvements throughout the council.
You will balance your operational responsibilities with innovation to identify suitable procurement strategies to meet the needs of our internal customers, which deliver quantifiable benefits back to the borough.
You will be a dynamic self-starter, highly capable of enhancing relationships with stakeholders to drive productive collaboration and effective forward planning to manage non-pay spend activity within the context of public procurement regulations.
The post-holder will be an integral part of the team, working in partnership with budget holders and senior managers to develop innovative procurement strategies for a diverse range of procurement categories that identify efficiencies and directorate savings.
This is an exciting opportunity that will enable you to challenge yourself personally and professionally as an integral and valued member of the Chesterfield Borough Council team.
The role is offered on a full-time basis and offers flexibility to operate a hybrid working arrangement.
We offer an excellent benefits package to include a generous holiday entitlement, a pension scheme, and a discounted parking scheme.
