Current Local Plan
The Council’s current Local Plan is the Chesterfield Borough Local Plan 2018 to 2035, which was adopted on 15 July 2020.
The Local Plan sets out our strategy for development across the borough until 2035, and allocates land for development to meet the environmental, housing and economic growth needs of the borough. Every Local Planning Authority is required to prepare a Local Plan, and it must be reviewed every five years (the next review will be due in 2025).
