Our crew will return on Monday to empty these bins. Please ensure your green bin is out ready for collection by 7am on Monday 12 January.

There were a few other properties where access was limited, if your address isn't listed above and your bin wasn't emptied today, please leave it out for collection and our team will return tomorrow (Saturday 10 January).

We might not be able to empty your bin or waste sacks at the usual time or on the usual day.

This can be because of roadworks, an obstruction in the road, bad weather or the bin lorry breaking down. If there are no details showing here for your street then we're not aware of any problems at the moment.

If the other bins on your street haven't been emptied yet, please leave your bin out - the crew will empty it as soon as they can.

Why hasn't my bin been emptied?

There are many reasons why your waste may not have been collected, such as:

  • the crew hasn't finished the round yet
  • your bin was not in the right place at the right time
  • the wrong items were in your bin

You can see the status of your bin collections and why your bin wasn't emptied online by logging into your My Chesterfield account - please check before reporting a problem.

Reporting a problem

You must report a problem within two working days of your collection day, so that a crew is available to deal with it.

You won't be able to report a missed bin or waste sack if:

  • the crew hasn't completed their rounds yet
  • there was a reason why the crew didn't empty your bin

What we will do

We will let the crew know that you have reported a missed bin collection - they will come back to empty your bin as soon as they can.
