Staveley Miners Welfare Football Club is creating a new education facility where young people will have the opportunity to gain sports qualifications.
A dedicated classroom space has been built on site, with a training provider appointed, the first learners started in September 2024.
The space will also offer volunteer-based education and training courses, such as refereeing qualifications.
In addition, the club has made improvements to the car park near to the Chantry Playing Fields which has improved access for their youth teams, and for users of Poolsbrook Country Park and the Trans Pennine Trail.
The club has also made use of the Town Deal Accelerator Fund to improve the drainage system on the Chantry Playing Fields, meaning that the football pitches can be used by their youth teams throughout the year.
