In King George V Park in Staveley, we have modern tennis courts that you can book for a small fee.
With support from Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), and funding from UK Government, LTA Tennis Foundation and Chesterfield Borough Council, the courts were refurbished and reopened in 2023.
Extensive work has been carried out to ensure the courts can be used by the community for many years to come, including resurfacing and painting, new fencing and nets, and a new gate system.

Tennis activators
We are looking for volunteers who can help people in the community play tennis for free at King George V Park.
The LTA Free Park Tennis Activator scheme is a volunteer scheme to host free community sessions in parks. Training and equipment will be provided for volunteers.
