Council Tax is paid on most residential properties.
There is one bill per property, whether it is a house, bungalow, flat, maisonette, mobile home or houseboat, and whether it is owned or rented.
The value of your home has been assessed by the listing officer at the Valuation Office Agency which is part of the Inland Revenue, the council doesn't carry out the valuation of properties for Council Tax.
