Meet Zelva, the beautiful giant Tortoise - walk side by side with the World’s oldest and most awesome reptile, help to feed her, stroke her enormous shell and be inspired by a close up encounter with nature at its most incredible!
Learn how to slow down, take life easy …and never forget to stop and eat the roses!
Zelva can be shy though… will she come out of her shell? Lettuce hope so!
Zelva is accompanied by Sheldon Aristotle Chandler, the tortoise handler, who shows guests how to feed Zelva, engages them with interesting tortoise facts and provides the witty improv interactions!
Come and visit Zelva in the middle of the main market square at:
- 11am to 11.30am
- 12 noon to 12.30pm
- 1pm to 1.30pm
We are also joined by Major ‘Eddy’ Edward Edmund and Lance Corporal Henry ‘Stinker’ Hilary who have one objective: to explore the new world and expand the empire!
These two gentlemen explorers dressed in tropical kit, and covered in cobwebs and memories are trying to work out why they are so darn lost.
Accompanied by a soundscape of tropical noises, Edmund and Hilary amuse and bemuse whoever they meet on their roving adventure.
Don't miss them wondering in and around the Main Market Square at:
