Manage your Direct Debit through My Chesterfield

Sorry, our online Council Tax, Business Rates and benefits forms will be unavailable on 22 October 2025 due to essential maintenance. 

You will still be able to access your online accounts, and view documents that have already been issued, but you won't be able to create any new applications or submit any forms until the work is complete.

You need a My Chesterfield account to set up or change your Direct Debit online.

This is because we need to verify your details before giving you access to your Council Tax or Business Rates account.

Signing up is quick and easy. We will need to know:

  • your name and address
  • your phone number
  • your email address 

'My Services' is the secure part of My Chesterfield where you will be able to manage your account online.

Once you have signed up you can set up your Direct Debit, or make changes to your existing Direct Debit details. You can also:

  • manage your Council Tax or Business Rates account
  • check your bin day and contact your councillor
  • apply for council services and report problems
