We have adopted a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) relating to shop fronts throughout the borough, to support policies in the Local Plan.
The shop front design SPD provide guidance on the quality of shop fronts expected by the council. It aims to increase awareness of design issues related to shop fronts, such as sensitive approaches to historic buildings and areas, and ensuring that shops are accessible to all customers.
The Shop Front Design SPD was adopted in December 2008.
