Cooling system upgrade notice

From 1 June 2026, we will begin essential upgrade works to our building’s cooling system.

To complete this safely, the temporary chillers will be taken offline while a new, permanent system, including upgraded chillers and chilled‑water pumps is installed.

This planned investment will provide a more reliable, energy‑efficient, and resilient cooling system, reducing the risk of future failures and improving comfort for both customers and staff.

During the installation period, there will be reduced chilled air for approximately 6 weeks across most of the building.

The main dance studio and café will continue to operate as normal, as they are served by independent air‑conditioning units.

We understand this work is taking place during the summer months and may cause some discomfort. We apologise in advance and appreciate your patience while we complete these essential improvements. The timing has been carefully planned based on equipment condition, procurement requirements and system resilience.

Some areas, including the gym and studio spaces, may feel warmer than usual. To stay comfortable, we recommend:

  • Staying well‑hydrated before, during and after exercise
  • Taking more frequent rest breaks
  • Reducing workout intensity if you feel overheated
  • Wearing lightweight, breathable clothing
  • Speaking to a member of staff if you feel unwell at any time

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, especially during the warmer months. Please be assured that we are working to complete these upgrades as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption and ensure the building benefits from a more robust and reliable cooling system for the future.
