Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day with an inspiring talk from Teresa Waldron, CEO of Deaf-initely Women.
At the talk, taking place at West Studios, Teresa, a deafblind advocate, will share her personal journey of breaking barriers and championing inclusion.
As part of the event, attendees will also have the chance to explore the Extraordinary Women exhibition at West Studios, which celebrates the remarkable women who have shaped Chesterfield’s history. The exhibition includes stories from across the local community, interactive displays, and a unique collection of artworks by Chesterfield College students in the If the Shoe Fits showcase, exploring identity and femininity through creative design.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative piece of artwork, leaving messages of celebration and inclusivity.
For those unable to attend on 7 March, the Extraordinary Women exhibition runs from 21 February to 27 March and is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11am to 3pm.
This event has been put together by the Chesterfield Equality and Diversity Forum in partnership with Chesterfield College and Chesterfield Museum.
