Traditional Games Weekend

A weekend of fun and play with vintage toys and games.

Have a go at intergenerational games from across the ages – from Medieval quoits to a Victorian bagatelle.

There’s plenty of hands-on activities and fun learning, as well as the chance to reminisce about the traditional games parents and grandparents used to play with.

On Saturday there will be the opportunity to try your hands at a variety of circus skills, and Sunday will see additional vintage toys and games, from board games to parlour games.

This event is a partnership event by Chesterfield Museum and Poolsbrook Social and Community Club. It is part of Chesterfield Museum's wider Museum on the Move project, which has been funded by Arts Council England and enables us to take history out into the borough whilst the museum is undergoing a multi-million-pound refurbishment.
