Not strictly speaking a walking group, parkrun is a free, weekly, community event all around the world every Saturday morning.
It is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate.
Volunteer 'parkwalkers' are there each week (look out for the blue vests) to encourage and support anyone would like to enjoy a walk round the course.
Parkrun is a 5km timed event - remember to register beforehand, print your barcode, and bring it with you on the day.
Meet at Poolsbrook Country Park, Pavilion Drive, Poolsbrook, Chesterfield, S43 3WL. First-timers should meet by the pavilion café for a briefing.
