We have committed to including climate change as a mandatory consideration whenever we make decisions.
To facilitate the process, when we develop or change a policy, project, service, function, or strategy, we produce a structured report to identify the impact of the activity on the climate, and the impact a changing climate may have on the activity.
This Climate Change Impact Assessment is an excel-based decision support tool which generates an infographic showing a simple visual key to the main climate costs and benefits of any given decision. We are happy to make this tool freely available for other organisations to use and adapt for their own uses.
Our Climate Change Impact Assessment Tool has been shared with our partners through the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Local Authorities' Energy Partnership and several councils within this partnership are adapting this tool for their own use. Other local authorities, government departments, agencies or public bodies are welcome to use this tool subject to the creative commons licence.
