Zero emission, electric bus travel has arrived in Chesterfield.
The first electric bus services to be permanently based in Derbyshire are now on the road, as part of a £31 million investment, in partnership with Derbyshire County Council & UK Government.
Why catch an electric bus?
The new electric buses are helping make a difference to air pollution in Chesterfield, meaning you can breathe in cleaner, better-quality air.
If you normally drive to work or into town to do your shopping or meet friends, why not switch to using public transport for one of your journeys? By using the electric bus, you will be helping to reduce carbon emissions locally, plus it means you can relax on your journey instead of driving yourself.
The new fleet of buses is saving over 102,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year compared to diesel.
