We are committed to providing warm and energy efficient homes for our tenants.

How are we improving the energy efficiency of our homes? 

We carry out improvement works to increase energy efficiency in our homes. This includes installing new:  

  • windows  
  • external doors  
  • roofing  
  • heating systems 
  • insulation  

Get involved 

Tenants are invited to join Chesterfield Borough Council’s Climate Change Forum. The forum meets on a quarterly basis and is an opportunity for Chesterfield residents to help shape future climate change plans. For more information contact climate@chesterfield.gov.uk

Future plans 

Our new build homes are being designed and built to achieve an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) A rating, with a range of sustainability measures including energy efficient boilers, increased levels of insulation in the floors, walls and ceilings, cycle stores, electric car charging points and rainwater recycling through collection points in the garden.
