About us:
Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Housing Management and to lead on delivering excellent housing management services to our 8,800 council tenants.
This senior leadership role will involve overseeing all aspects of housing management, ensuring high-quality services are delivered within budget while meeting the needs of our community.
Key responsibilities:
• provide strategic leadership and management of housing management services
• develop and implement housing policies in compliance with regulations
• lead a team of dedicated professionals to ensure excellent service delivery
• manage a substantial budget and identify efficiencies for financial sustainability
• build strong relationships with stakeholders to meet housing needs effectively
• drive continuous improvement in service delivery and staff development
Requirements:
• extensive experience in housing management
• strong leadership and budgetary management skills
• excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory frameworks
• proven track record in delivering service improvements
• relevant qualifications in housing or management
• a strong track record in social housing management
• understanding of the social housing regulatory framework and the importance of tenant engagement
• you will need to be able to drive and have your own vehicle
