The Sport and Leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit friendly, outgoing people to work as receptionists in both its sports centres to meet the needs of customers and assist them when attending for their activities.
Candidates will be responsible for welcoming visitors to its busy, modern leisure facilities so must have experience of dealing with the public face to face and over the telephone in a pleasant and courteous manner, particularly when under pressure. An understanding of excellent customer care is needed and the relevance of it to the service that is supplied at the sports centres.
We are interested in applications that can evidence ability to work in busy environments and deal with a variety of enquiries from customers. It is essential that candidates can work with various computer software packages and adapt to others.
Four vacancies have become available, one post at 16 hours and 45 minutes per week at The Healthy Living Centre on a rota basis, working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. There are also three variable/casual positions across both sites working as and when required, covering absence of other reception staff. Candidates must be prepared and able to work unsocial and additional hours to cover for other staff absence, particularly at weekends, and be able to be work at short notice if necessary.
