Equality in recruitment

We want to make sure that everyone has equal access to our employment opportunities.

Monitoring information

Within the application form you will find an Equality Monitoring form that collects additional personal information about all applicants. This is an optional form that is stored centrally, securely and confidentially by the Human Resources team and not shared with the recruiting manager or the shortlisting and interview panels.

Your application is assessed solely on your application form, which does not include this form which is saved securely and separately from the rest of your application.

Why do we collect this information?

This data is collected to identify trends in those applying for jobs with us. This helps us to ensure the effectiveness of our recruitment and selection process, as well as improve our policies and practices.

It also helps us to identify any issues that could prevent us from building a workforce that is representative of our local community. This is in line with legal requirements and government recommendations.

Any monitoring information that you provide is completely anonymous and will not be linked back to you.

Help for applicants with disabilities

We are happy to provide assistance and reasonable adjustments to help applicants that consider themselves to have a disability.

Alternative formats

Job descriptions, person specifications and application forms can be provided in an alternative format (such as large print). Please contact Human Resources on 01246 345282 to find out more.

Reasonable adjustments

If you consider yourself to have a disability and need us to make any reasonable adjustments as part of the selection process please let us know; we can give you the opportunity to visit an interview location in advance if you want to review physical access to the building.
