Free installation offer terms and conditions
Chesterfield Borough Council (“the Council”) is offering a special promotion to waive the standard £75 Careline installation, assessment and set-up fee for new customers who sign up during Falls Week 2025, 22 to 26 September only.
1. Promotional period
The offer runs from 00:01 on Monday 22 September 2025 until 23:59 on Friday 26 September 2025 (inclusive).
Applications made outside this period are not eligible.
2. Eligibility
Open to residents within the Chesterfield Borough Council and Careline coverage area only. Proof of residency (e.g. council tax bill, utility bill) may be required. Geographical restrictions apply and are based on compliance to TSA requirements. Any applications outside of our normal geographical area are determined at management discretion.
Limited to one free installation per household.
The offer applies to new Careline customers only.
3. Scope of the offer
This promotional offer waives the £75 installation, assessment, and set-up fee only which includes one pendant (either to be neck worn or wrist worn) and one base unit per household.
Installations will be carried out by a member of the Careline team only.
The offer does not cover:
- Careline equipment charges
- additional devices / services (for example additional pendants, smoke alarm, falls detector, GPS locator)
- weekly falls response and call monitoring fee
Free assessment and installations are subject to limited availability and will be provided on a first come, first-served basis.
The Council cannot guarantee an installation date within Falls Week. The promotional offer applies to any customer who books an assessment and installation during Falls Week, the time period is stated above.
The Council reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotional discount at any time if demand exceeds available capacity.
4. Exclusions
The offer does not apply to:
- installations requested for commercial or business premises
- requests made on behalf of non-resident property owners outside of the Careline coverage area
- retrospective claims to the installation or set up of Careline systems previously complete outside the campaign period
5. Responsibility and liability
The Council will ensure installations are carried out to an appropriate standard by a member of the Careline team.
The Council is not responsible for:
- any pre-existing faults or defects in the property
- subsequent damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised alterations after installation
6. Data Protection
Personal data provided for the purposes of the Campaign will be processed in line with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.Data will only be used to administer the promotion and Careline services.
All personal data will be processed in line with the Careline Privacy Statement.
7. General
The Council’s decision on eligibility and provision of the free installation is final.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The Campaign is subject to the standard Careline Service Agreement, which applies in addition to these promotional terms.
