Please note that the Careline service will close on 1 August 2026.
Protecting vulnerable people remains our top priority, and we will provide personalised support to help people transition safely to an alternative provider if they wish, to ensure there is no gap in service. Please remember to act as soon as you can to ensure you have an alternative provider in place before this date. We can support you to make the switch to an alternative provider of your choice if you wish.
Our officers will be contacting all customers directly to notify them of the closure and provide them with the support they need.
If your call is because of a fall or other emergency, one of our trained response team will attend quickly.
We aim to complete respond to all call outs in under 45 minutes.
If you have fallen, the response officer will decide what to do – they will initially conduct some basic health checks (such as your temperature, blood oxygen level, blood pressure) and assess you for any obvious injuries. If they can move you safely, they will lift you using specialist equipment and help you to get comfortable.
All our response officers have been trained to use the specially designed lifting equipment.
If necessary, the response officer will get in touch with your emergency contacts and medical professionals, or if more urgent care is needed, they will contact the emergency services.
