Please note that the Careline service will close on 1 August 2026.

Protecting vulnerable people remains our top priority, and we will provide personalised support to help people transition safely to an alternative provider if they wish, to ensure there is no gap in service.  Please remember to act as soon as you can to ensure you have an alternative provider in place before this date. We can support you to make the switch to an alternative provider of your choice if you wish.

Our officers will be contacting all customers directly to notify them of the closure and provide them with the support they need.

Contacting us when you need help is very easy.

If you have a pendant, simply press the button to connect to the Chesterfield Careline contact centre.

If you have detectors or sensors installed, these will be automatically triggered and will connect you to the contact centre automatically, without you having to press anything.

A Chesterfield Careline operator will then speak to you via the powerful unit installed in your home – or if you have a GPS pendant, they will speak to you directly through that.

We will provide you with the reassurance and arrange any assistance that you may need.

The Chesterfield Careline operator can:

  • send a Chesterfield Careline response officer to your home and give you the assistance you need
  • call your named emergency contacts, such as a relative or friend
  • ask for medical assistance
  • contact the emergency services

If you are unable to speak to the Chesterfield Careline operator after calling for help, or your sensors or detectors are activated, we will send a response officer to your home to help you.
