Gym opening times

  • Monday to Friday: 6.30am to 10pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 8pm

Our gym and fitness induction are only available to the following memberships:


Our fitness suite 

Our fitness suite boasts top of the range fitness equipment includes everything from treadmills, steppers and cross-trainers to rower's resistance machines and free weights. 

We’ve got a separate free weights area and a functional training zone with kit including medicine balls, BOSU and sandbags.

An area for stretching is available for the end of a workout.

A large proportion of our kit - nearly 50% - is also Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) accredited, so is suitable for people with a range of physical abilities.


Junior Gym sessions: Age 10 to 13 years

Junior gym is for children aged 8 to 13 years old.

After being shown how to use the cardio and easyline equipment in the fitness suite correctly and safely by an instructor, children can enjoy a great workout. No weight machines are allowed to be used during these sessions. 

Junior gym takes place:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Family Fit session

When: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 8.30am, and every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 12 noon. Also available during the school holidays Monday to Friday 9am to 12 noon

Age: Young people aged 8 to 15 years with accompanying adult.

Families can work out together on the cardio and easyline equipment at family fit sessions, which take place in the fitness suites at both our centres. 

Children are shown how to use the equipment safely and must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times. 

The supervising adult must have previously had a gym induction session so they know how to use the equipment safely.

A health commitment statement must be signed at the centre before participation. Young people remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian during the session.


Junior+ gym

Children aged 14 and above can attend our gym unsupervised, however during peak hours (3.30pm to 6.30pm), they will only be able to attend the junior+ gym pre-bookable sessions.

Outside of these times children are still able to attend the gym unaccompanied.

Junior+ gym takes place:

Monday to Friday: 3.30pm to 5pm and 5pm and 6.30pm.

These sessions are included in our motiv8+ and family active fitness memberships.

There are also a number of fitness classes children aged 14 and over can join. These fitness classes are highlighted on the fitness timetables.

Please note those aged 14 and over can use resistance weight machines but cannot use free weights until they are 16 years old.
